Back to School 2008

Dear Families,

Welcome to a new school year at Eaton Elementary! I hope you had a wonderful summer and am as excited to be back as I am. My name is Mrs. Yu and I will be your child’s teacher for the upcoming year. This will be a fun-filled and challenging time for both your child and myself!

I am eager to meet all of you at Back to School Night. Please save the date: Thursday, September 4th. I will hold a mandatory meeting in Room 8 from 6:15pm – 7:00pm and there will be a PTO meeting in the MP room afterwards from 7:00pm – 7:15pm. This will be a very important opportunity for you to learn about our classroom and the procedures for the year.

All students are asked to bring the items below. Please make sure to buy the EXACT brand (such as Dixon-Ticonderoga, Magic Rub, Crayola, Sharpie, etc.). Please purchase these items by Friday, August 29th and bring them in a large paper bag with your child’s name labeled on it. Thank you for your donations.


• 1 box of DIXON-TICONDEROGA #2 pencils
• 2 MAGIC RUB erasers
• 1 box of CRAYOLA CLASSIC color markers
• 6 LARGE glue sticks
• 1 box of 24 CRAYOLA crayons
• 1 fine point and 1 thick point BLACK SHARPIE
• 1 FISKARS FOR KIDS scissors – pointed tip
• 1 box of 24 CRAYOLA colored pencils
• 1 box baby wipes or Clorox wipes
• 1 box of Kleenex
Students with last names beginning with:
A to L – one box of gallon sized ziplock bags
M to R – one bottle of liquid soap (NOT anti-bacterial)
S to Z – one box of aluminum foil


Please remember to send your child to school on time each morning at 9:00am and pick up your child at 3:05pm (except Tuesday dismissal is at 2:30pm). Also, please label all lunch boxes, jackets, hats, sweaters, etc. with your child’s name so that lost items can be returned to you. I am looking forward to working with you and your children!
