Dear Families,
What a short week! This will be a short newsletter as well. I’m glad the rain stopped and the sunshine came out for a while. It’s that time of the year when everyone needs to be extra careful about not getting sick! Stay warm and healthy! I wasn’t feeling well earlier in the week, so it’s definitely coming around! Here are some highlights from the week:
Poem of the Week: My Nose
Song of the Week: The Eaton Song
Kindness is … offering free hugs.
Story of the Week: Lunch
Vocabulary of the Week: People 2
Word Wall Words: brother, do, for, I, said, sister
Next Week’s Sharing: Regular – something you are thankful for
(Prepare 5 complete sentences and try to memorize the words.
Bring an object or picture to show while you share).
• Language Arts: Theme 2 All Together Now – Week 2
• Stories: What Can a Vet Do? and Hot Fox Soup
• Word Families: –et (pet, vet, met) and -en (ten, pen, men)
• Sounds: y, k, v, and short e
• Grammar: Naming Words
This week, we started doing many Thanksgiving projects and turkey art. We made a turkey using our hands, we wrote about things we are thankful for on turkey feathers, and we also read a Thanksgiving story about Pilgrims and Indians. November is already flying by really fast!
