Upcoming Dates

Friday, November 21st: Cupertino Library Field Trip
We will be walking to the Cupertino Library in the afternoon. Please send your child’s BLUE library card to school on this day and have your child remember his or her 4-digit PIN number. We will be checking out 2 books and remember to return them to the library on your own.

Wednesday, November 26th to Friday, November 28th: No School
Happy Thanksgiving! There will be no homework or tests this week since it is a short week. Remember that Monday and Tuesday sharers will have their sharing still.

• Writing: This week, we made a thankful book that showed different parts of the Earth that we are thankful for. We talked about how important the Earth is to our everyday lives. We also finished our Prince and Princesses!

• Math: We continued working on place value this week by counting tens and ones. We are learning to skip count by 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s in this chapter.

• Social Studies: We are learning about the Thanksgiving story by making a book of our own. We have talked about Pilgrims and Indians, as well as the Mayflower ship that brought the Pilgrims to America.

• Computer Lab: This week we used a new program called Kidspiration and made a picture diagram about ourselves. We used stamps and words to describe our favorite colors, animals, shapes, and food.

• Buddies: This week we saw our buddies and made a turkey using our hands and feet. Our buddies helped us to trace our bodies!
